Branch Teller/CSR

Position: Teller/CSR

Department: Branch Administration

Reports To: Branch Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level of customer service to all clients and guests entering the bank

  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts for deposit

  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices

  • Process savings withdrawals, cash checks, verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity

  • Identify counterfeit currency

  • Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks, accept orders and payment for U.S. Savings Bonds

  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts

  • Maintain an organized teller line and work area as well as balance teller drawer daily

  • Answer calls to the branch

  • Balance and maintain branch ATM

  • Flexibility to assist any of our other locations

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential

  • Performs other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement in decision making while following all bank policies and procedures

  • Comfortable asking customers about personal finances

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complies records of insurance policies

  • Review and verify insurance coverage is adequate

  • Data processing - inputs insurance information to loan system

  • Corresponds with insured or agent to obtain information or inform them of any changes

  • Review various reports and verify forced-placed insurance is enforced

  • Review and/or send letters to customers regarding expired insurance

  • Prepares monthly invoices

Full-Time Head Teller

Department: Branch Administration

Reports To: Branch Manager

Primary Teller Responsibilities:

  • Managing and balancing a cash drawer
  • Accurately and efficiently processing over-the-counter cash and check transactions while providing exceptional client service
  • Perform lobby and/or drive-thru teller functions including check cashing, receiving and processing deposits/withdrawals, making transfers, balancing teller drawer
  • Each associate is responsible for greeting every client or guest at the bank immediately upon entering
  • Answer all telephone calls for the branch
  • Maintain an organized teller line and work area
  • Balance and maintain the branch ATM and Vault
  • Adhere to First Citrus Bank's policies, procedures and well as regulatory requirements
  • Contributes to deposit growth and cross-sales

Primary Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the teller operations within the branch
  • Ensure the daily activities of the tellers are performed in a timely accurate and courteous manner
  • Aid tellers in solving client/client problems, serving as an operational reference
  • Research and resolve client questions, problems and concerns by telephone, written correspondence or in person
  • Examine Teller's reports of daily transactions for accuracy in accordance with Bank policies and procedures
  • Accurate completion of required audit logs
  • Monitor and review operational product and procedures; stay up-to-date with the all operations, products, services, policies and procedures
  • Supervise teller staff, assisting in the coaching, training and the development of tellers
  • Ensure supply of money for the Bank's needs based on legal requirements and business demand
  • Ensure proper cash levels and limits are followed by tellers
  • Assist Branch Manager with other duties as assigned
  • Work overtime if requested by management

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Minimum of 3 yrs prior banking experience
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Prior sales experience
