Float Teller/CSR - South Tampa

Cardinal Business Principal: Safety and Soundness First

Position: Float Teller/CSR

Department: Branch Administration

Reports To: Branch Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level of customer service to all clients and guests entering the bank or the drive-thru

  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts for deposit

  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices

  • Process savings withdrawals, cash checks, verity endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity

  • Identify counterfeit currency

  • Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks, accept orders and payment for U.S. Savings Bonds

  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts

  • Maintain an organized teller line and work area as well as balance teller drawer daily

  • Answer calls to the branch

  • Balance and maintain branch ATM

  • Process new accounts and maintenance transactions

  • Stay knowledgeable of all products and services provided by the bank

  • Will be assigned a work schedule to assist any of our other locations

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential

  • Contributes to deposit growth and cross-sales

  • Performs other duties as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement in decision making while following all bank policies and procedures

  • Strong communication skills (including verbal and non-verbal) and active listening skills

  • Comfortable asking customers about personal finances

  • Ability to keep composure during stressful situations

  • Solid understanding of bank policies and procedures, rules and regulations

  • Ability to work with money transactions with high degree of accuracy

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Service Representative (CSR):

  • Provide high level of client service to all customers and guests entering the bank

  • Print daily reports, review and present to manager for final approval

  • Review overdraft accounts, present to manager for approval

  • Ensure all documents are accurately completed and signed by appropriate client and bank personnel in a timely manner

  • Gather required information/documents to open new accounts

  • Identify needs of client - present products and services provided by the bank

  • Follow-up with client after account is opened

  • Stay knowledgeable of all products and services provided by the bank

  • Main client confidence for safety and soundness by keeping information confidential

  • Contributes to deposit growth and cross-sales

  • Process new accounts and maintenance transactions

Teller:
